Middlemarch Singles Dance Easter Saturday 26th March, 2005

Romance...

A recommendation to mark the dairy with an "R" against Saturday 26 March 2005 was a wise one. "R" signifying Romance, the 600 tickets for the match-making event of the year sold out well before the event. The event was held in the Tui Marquee cnr Garthmyl Rd & the railway line– real country stuff.

TUIGuys were out to win free tickets through registering for the Great Cocky Cook Off spondered by Tui, and girls were in to win a chance to be wined and dined at the Great Cocky Cook Off.

Taieri Gorge Train logoThe Taieri Gorge Railway provided the transport to the dance on its "Love Train." View the

"Seen in Dunedin" website's four pages of photo montage from the train. Be sure also to scroll down for photos from the event as the night unfolded...!! (Click on each image to see larger picture.) NB. These photos can be ordered directly from the website.

Duncan & CompanyThe supper was sponsored by Duncan & Company, using delicious, premium Cervena (venison) on the night.

A bar service and buffet operated on board the train. And, if you were lucky enough to miss the train back, $10 got you home on the train the next day.

The Hard Road Fashion Show took place in the giant marquee. DRIZA-BONE and Rock 'n' Pillar showcased men's and women's wear respectively for all to see what real southern men and women wear.
