  • Trail Journeys
    Trail Journeys has opened a new base in Middlemarch. We have taken over Middlemarch Service Station and will be offering all of the services that we provide in Clyde. Secure car storage, bike hire, transport and personal service to set you on your way for your Otago Central Rail Trail Adventure. We also have 24 hour fuel available from our newly installed card pumps. STRATH TAIERI COMMUNITY CENTRE

Strath Taieri Community Centre

The Strath Taieri Community Centre may be hired for public and private functions and activities. It consists of a main hall with stage, supper room with small stage and kitchen, committee room with small kitchen, bar facilities (owned and administered by the Strath Taieri Rugby Club), and public toilets. The Middlemarch Library is also housed in the building.

The Community Centre is licensed to hold a maximum of 280 persons. Regular activities include line dancing, Tai Chi, and meetings of New Zealand Rural Women, Lions Club and the Strath Taieri Community Board.

Taieri Gorge Railway

Travel to Dunedin via Rail and see the Magnificent Taieri Gorge. Departures most Sundays in summer from Middlemarch as well as every other day from Pukerangi - 19km from Middlemarch.
