Car Just one hour's drive from Dunedin City, through Mosgiel and Outram. Continue on State Highway 87 to Middlemarch.

Train From Dunedin by Taieri Gorge Railway.

Car From Alexandra, travel north on State Highway 85 to Ranfurly. About 15 km after Ranfurly, turn right onto State Highway 87. You will rise over the Northern ridges, which circle the Strath Taieri valley, and slowly descend past Hyde into the valley.
