 From Dunedin

Car Just one hour's drive from Dunedin City, through Mosgiel and Outram. Taieri Gorge logoContinue on State Highway 87 to Middlemarch.

Train From Dunedin by Taieri Gorge Railway.

Bike Follow directions as for car. Please note: not an easy ride. Or bring your bike on the train and save yourself the hills!

 From Central Otago

Bus Daily service from Queenstown via Cromwell and Alexandra to Middlemarch and Pukerangi (near Middlemarch - Taieri Gorge Excursion Train turn-around point weekdays). For details contact Mount Cook Bus Service Ph 03-442 6067.

Car From Alexandra, travel north on State Highway 85 to Ranfurly. About 15 km after Ranfurly, turn right onto State Highway 87. You will rise over the Northern ridges, which circle the Strath Taieri valley, and slowly descend past Hyde into the valley.
